Metal Machining In Turnweld Engineering
Turnweld Engineering is a metal machining on the Sunshine Coast one-stop shop. Above all, Turnweld Engineering can cut, fold, bend, machine and weld almost any material for any job.
Turnweld Engineering is still manufacturing our TW trawl blocks that are proven to withstand the harsh seas for any trawl operator, from 8″ to 16″ there is a trawl block and snap side ready to be made to order, also introducing a complete stainless steel version.
As a result, we are one of the last Jobbing workshops around. We indeed take pride in all our work and love to venture into new challenges for Metal fabrication, machining, and repairs on the sunshine coast. Remember, we run a mobile workshop if you are in need.
Pins & Bushes
We present a speedy production of machined pins or bushes for any machine. Also, with the capability of pressing out the most stubborn of items, we can machine what you need. There is an option for case hardening and all material types to choose from, for example:
41/40, chrome, mild, stainless, aluminium, cast steel, nylons and plastics.
Mill Machining
Our NC mill is capable of almost any ID boring or re-surfacing of your item. Our machinist is one smart fella for removing any material off any surface, whether vertical or horizontal, drill, groove, keyway, slot, and plunge anything you like.
Lathe Machining
We can set up lathes for any job with the facilities to weld up and machine the items needed to get the job back out working. We can machine anything from complete hydraulic cylinders, rods, pins, bushes, nuts, shafts, drums, rollers, and so on. There are 20-plus years of experience behind the lathe with a wealth of knowledge and care. Hence the TURN in Turnweld.
Cylinder Rod, Cylinders, Gland Nuts
Turnweld Engineering can make any cylinder rod, piston, gland nut or barrel for the most common cylinders. Or ask about custom cylinders to suit your application. We use the proper grade steel and welding procedure to ensure the job is done to specific standards. Our machinist can make your one-off gland nuts with any thread. If there is a cylinder you are unsure about, please feel free to come in and let our team assess the work to be done. We can provide a crack test report for any lifting device that needs a structural weld test to comply with the repairs. With excellent knowledge in the EWP, crane and concrete placing boom industry for repairs, we have it covered.
